Tuesday, September 12th, 2023
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2023-2024 NWP Wolves Women’s Basketball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Bill Bradley is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Kim Rosendahl a multi-talented athlete from Sturgeon County who is excited to join the Wolves Women’s Basketball team for the upcoming year.
Rosendahl brings with her an impressive athletic resume, including being the MCHS Senior High School 2 time tournament MVP, 10 time game MVP, and All Around Athlete Award for the most points, rebounds, steals, and fouls. From 2019-2022 she played in the Alberta Indigenous Games and in Spring 2023 was in the Team Alberta North America Indigenous Games.
When asked why she chose NWP, Rosendahl explained that she spent the first half of her life never thinking that attending post-secondary would be an option for her. As she has worked hard to overcome all the negatives in her life, and with the support of her family she is looking forward to attending NWP. She added that NWP provides her with opportunities to continue moving forward in her life.
In her rookie year, Rosendahl is most excited to start on a new team and she cannot wait to meet her new teammates and coaches. She is excited to see what new skills she is going to learn this year.
Head Coach Bill Bradley is excited to work with Rosendahl, adding, “Kim's athleticism is amazing, she surprised me at the Wolves High School All-Star game and ID camp with her speed and quickness. Combine that with her her talent and she has a great chance to do some great things at Northwestern Polytechnic.”
Welcome to the pack, Kim.
