More About Lauren
Lauren Hale-Miller made the move from the ACAA where she was Head Coach of the UNB Saint John Seawolves Women's Volleyball Program for the past three seasons. During her time with the Seawolves, the program made tremendous leaps and bounds and found themselves top contenders in the conference. This past season (2018-2019), Lauren was recognized by the ACAA as Coach of the Year.
Lauren's coaching career began after graduating high school where she volunteered her time as a way to give back to her high school volleyball program. While coaching at Leo Hayes High School, she led the Lions Junior Varsity Boys to two back-to-back NBIAA Provincials, as well as assisted with the Lions Varsity Girls who also went on to win back-to-back NBIAA titles. Lauren's involvement in volleyball continued as she became the Program Coordinate and Technical Director for the Spartans Volleyball Club (formerly known as the Tommies Volleyball Club). Along with her administrative duties, she also coached 14u - 18u Male and Female Age Class teams. In the summer of 2012, Lauren began coaching with the VNB Provincial Elite Program where she soon came to the realization that she wanted to pursue her passion as a career. Lauren went on to Assistant Coach and Head Coach VNB teams to top finishes at Eastern Elites Championships. Her most memorable experience to date was being selected for the Women in Coaching Apprenticeship Program that allowed her to be a part of the 2017 Canada Games Women's Volleyball team that placed 3rd and brought home the first Volleyball medal for NB at Canada Games.
Lauren believes in the value of providing females with an opportunity for lifelong participation in sport whether that is through playing or coaching. She is excited to begin the next chapter of her coaching career with the Wolves!
